Tarpon Pointe Grill Owners Honored for Donation to Wounded Veteran
Bruce and Kim Bottorff, owners of Tarpon Pointe Grill, were presented with an award Sunday for their generous contribution to SFC Aaron Cornelius, who was permanently blinded in an IED explosion in Iraq in 2008. Like most people who have heard U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Aaron Cornelius' story, Bruce and Kim Bottorff were moved.
Cornelius, a 42-year-old father of five, was blinded in an IED explosion during his third tour in Iraq. He didn't have to go to Iraq for a third combat mission. He volunteered. And it was the second time he had volunteered for a combat mission.
